Job Description
A forklift operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift or other powered industrial trucks to move materials and products within a warehouse, manufacturing facility, or construction site. The primary goal is to ensure the safe handling of materials while maintaining a high level of productivity.
ResponsibilitiesIdentify, separate, label, and quarantine defective materialsAssist the department in unloading and placement of materials into designated areasAbility to maintain situational awarenessFirm commitment to safetyOperating warehouse equipment (stand up reach/order picker, pallet rider and/or pallet jacks) for product movement, storage, inventoryUtilizing WMS, Inventory Software/Platforms, Voice-Picking Platforms, and/or RF ScannersLoading, Unloading, Storing, Racking, Picking, Selecting according to work instructions & ticketsOperating mobile equipment in a safe manner for self and co-workers/colleaguesPerforming daily equipment inspections, to ensure safe operationsPerforming monthly cleaningOperating and Maintaining compactorQualifications
Ability to lift up to 50 poundsMust pass the internal Forklift certification course bi-annually, or as requested by management.Complete compactor training1-2 years of forklift operator experience in a warehouse environmentAbility to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.Ability to to navigate and work on a laptop and ipad, ensuring efficient and effective use of technology.Must be at least 18 years oldBenefits:
