About the Project

Through the Private Sector Engagement Modernization Contract (PSEMC), Dexis supports the U.S. Agency for International Development's (USAID's) PSE Hub to expand and deepen collaboration with the private sector to achieve greater development outcomes. The PSE Hub's mission is to create the institutional conditions, operating infrastructure, and capacity necessary to expand engagement with the private sector in the United States and partner countries. The PSE Hub works to transform and modernize how USAID does development by institutionalizing USAID's PSE policy and delivering capacity- and systems-building support for PSE across all sectors, operating units, and countries where USAID operates.

About the Position

The USAID Center for Economics and Market Development (EMD) is the Agency's primary resource for knowledge and technical assistance on economic growth and trade. EMD is also leading USAID's implementation of the Economic Resilience Initiative (ERI), a whole of government effort to foster resilient, sustainable, and inclusive economic growth and prosperity amid the disruptions and pressures of today's global economy, with three major focuses: 1) Improve macroeconomic stability, including increased debt sustainability; 2) Mobilize targeted investment in job-creating and wage-boosting growth; 3) Strengthen productive capacity around and expand development benefits from investment in critical supply chains. As part of the ERI implementation Team, the Program Support Specialist's core responsibilities will be the day-to-day oversight, coordination, management, tracking, and reporting on ERI activities and processes. The Program Support Specialist position will coordinate with State/F and OMB as well as LPA, POL and PLR and IPIs Budget Office regarding USAIDs comparative advantage and strengthen the case for the value of our efforts to appropriators and other key stakeholders to ensure adequate resourcing in the longer-term.

This is a telework-eligible position requiring occasional travel (15-25%) to USAID partner countries.

Responsibilities

Supports the coordination and development of ERI country action plans and related guidance with desk officers and mission POCs to enable USAID Missions and other Operating Units to achieve the objectives of ERI, while also aligning ERI activities with the Mission operational plan, Country and Regional Development Cooperation Strategies (CDCSs and RDCSs), and monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) plans.Supports the development and implementation of the ERI MEL plan, working across the Agency to position ERI as a proof of concept for future economic resilience and growth efforts and identifying lessons learned from experiences promoting ER goals, tangible successes and failures, and catalyzing policy change.Supports the development of annual budget plans for the ERI, including budget plans that allocate sufficient resources and staff to provide specialized expertise, cross-country MEL, and other centralized functions.Supports and coordinates public outreach events that capitalize on ERI as a platform for policy positioning and broader messaging on the role of development cooperation in bolstering country and regional economic resilience and global economic security.Supports the process of compiling data and preparing ERI reports and budgets, such as action plans reports.Coordinates Agency-wide outreach to solicit information and data that can be used to develop budgets and program reporting including country coordination with desk officers and mission POCs.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and five years of work experience, or Master's degree with three or more years of work experience, or nine+ years equivalent relevant work experienceStrong analytical skills and the ability to assimilate and process large amounts of information into a coherent and compelling narrativeExcellent communication (written and oral), interpersonal, and collaboration skillsHighly developed cultural awareness and the ability to work collaboratively in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and culturesProblem solving orientation and ability to manage dynamic workflows and priorities with multiple stakeholdersEligibility to work in the U.S.Ability to attain and maintain a Secret-level clearance.Preferred
