Overview As the Social Media Coordinator (On Site), you will be responsible for crafting and executing comprehensive social media strategies that highlight our resort's diverse activities, programs, events, and dining experiences. Your goal will be to build engagement, drive traffic, and increase revenue. Collaborating closely with the marketing team and key stakeholders, you will create captivating content, manage online communities, and elevate our brand's presence across digital platforms. Responsibilities Content Creation: Create engaging content that showcases Terranea's oceanfront location, amenities, and personalized service across various social media channels. Coordinate photoshoots, video shoots, and graphic design projects to produce visually captivating content that amplifies revenue-driving engagement. Capture a majority of events and activations, both internal and external, for both photography and social media content. Develop compelling content that aligns with our brand's voice and resonates with our target audience. Enforce brand guidelines to ensure consistency in voice, tone, and visual elements across all social media platforms. Platform Management: Manage, schedule, and publish posts on social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Linked In, X, and others. Tailor content and strategies for each platform, considering the preferences and behaviors of the respective audiences. Create meaningful paid social campaigns across all channels, including comprehensive targeted audience strategy. Plan and execute social media campaigns, including contests, giveaways, and promotions to enhance engagement. Consistently manage and audit all social platforms and channels for up-to-date information, content, guest relations/inquiries, and offerings. Utilize content scheduling software and supplemental tools to plan social content accordingly. Audience Engagement: Identify target audiences and determine the most effective platforms for maximum engagement. Foster meaningful connections with followers by actively responding to comments, messages, and interactions. Cultivate a sense of community by acknowledging and appreciating audience contributions and feedback. Build relationships with influencers and industry partners to grow Terranea's social media following. Content Strategy & Brand Consistency: Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with overall business goals, including content calendars, posting schedules, and thematic planning. Ensure consistent messaging and storytelling to maintain brand cohesion and identity. Plan and execute paid advertising campaigns within the monthly budget to maximize reach, engagement, and revenue goals. Analytics and Insights: Monitor social media performance using analytics tools to identify trends, measure engagement, and track key performance indicators. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and optimize content for maximum impact. Prepare regular reports on key metrics, insights, and campaign performance. Trends and Innovations: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, algorithm changes, platform policies, new features, and emerging technologies, keeping in mind Terranea Resort's brand identity, messaging, and audience. Continuously seek opportunities to incorporate new features and innovations into our social media approach. Creator Relations: Work closely with Public Relations and Communications Manager on collaborations with various content creators, influencers, and media Assist with content curation, sharing, and brand guidelines where relevant Pitch potential creator collaborations based on audience, key need areas, and availability Additional Duties & Responsibilities: Attend Meetings as needed: Marketing meetings Operations team lineups and department meetings Biweekly department meetings Qualifications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and adjust strategies accordingly. Creative thinker with the ability to adapt to changing trends. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Available most evenings and weekends to capture content and attend events where needed. Experience, Education, & Licensure: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in social media management, preferably in the hospitality industry. Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices. Proficiency in content creation, including graphic design and copywriting. Proficiency in social media scheduling, social listening, and analytics software. Photography skills preferred.
