What You Will Do
The Special Security Operations IT & Cyber Group (SSO-3) is seeking an experienced and motivated Solutions Architect to join the SSO-3 Engineering Services Team. The Engineering Services Team leads efforts to research, design, develop, deploy, and troubleshoot networks, systems, applications, and core services on multiple TS/SCI computer networks, including stand-alone systems to meet programmatic and cybersecurity requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in virtualization technologies, automation tools, and version control systems and will play a crucial role in developing scalable solutions. The selected candidate will develop and oversee our VMware vSphere virtualization infrastructure environments.
Solutions Architect 3In this role, you will assist in:
Designing and implementing VMware vSphere virtualization solutions andSupport the development, deployment, and management of iPXE boot environmentsCollaborate with the team to develop Ansible roles and playbooksUse GitLab for version control and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) best practicesMonitor and optimize the performance of the virtual infrastructure environmentsDocument architectures, configurations, and processes for deployment, maintenance and supportServe at the primary contact for troubleshooting and resolving technical issuesSolutions Architect 4In addition to the Solutions Architect 3 roles and responsibilities, you will:
Lead the VMware vSphere design and implementation solutions andLead the iPXE boot environments development, deployment, and management effortsLead the Ansible virtualization development effortsMentor and provide guidance to junior team membersThis position will be filled at either a Solutions Architect 3 or Solutions Architect 4 level, depending on the skills of the selected candidate. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if the candidate is hired at the higher level.

Experience with VMware vSphere or other virtualization solutionsExcellent problem-solving, and communication skillsFamiliarity with iPXE boot environmentsExperience with Ansible and automation toolsExperience with GitLab or similar version control systemsFamiliarity with CI/CD processes and toolsBasic scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell)Experience writing technical documentation for IT deployment, support and maintenanceStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to respond quickly to problems and to address rapidly changing priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentAbility to obtain a Q clearance, which typically requires US Citizenship.Additional Job Requirements for the Solutions Architect 4:In addition to the requirements outlined above, qualification at the higher level requires:Extensive experience with VMware vSphere environments or other virtualization solutionsDemonstrated experience in leading teams and/or projects from inception through implementation.Extensive experience providing technical leadership.Education/Experience for level 3:

Position Commitment:

Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation conducted by or on behalf of the Federal Government, and must meet eligibility requirements* for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance. and obtaining such clearance requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon the position, additional authorization to access classified information may be required, which may or may not be available to dual citizens. Receipt of a Q clearance and additional access authorization ultimately is a decision of the Federal Government and not of Triad.
*Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
