Natixis is seeking a Associate/VP-level Portfolio Manager who will cover the Loan Portfolio for the US Book, with a general focus on exposures to primarily Infrastructure/Project Finance, Electricity, and general commercial and investment banking products; leasing & warehousing loans, margin-type finance loans and related corporate banking products. Responsibility includes the management of assigned loans after they are closed and held within the Americas portfolio.
The business, based in New York, covers general financial counterparty credit exposures (non-market based) longer than one year.
Direct credit quality monitoring of a dedicated portfolio of loans or companies from closing through final maturity or other resolution. Under the direct responsibility of the Portfolio Management Head, he/she/they must remain close to Originators' needs in the management of their client relationship, and simultaneously be independent in making credit and portfolio recommendations in anticipation of credit risk issues, including needs for credit rating changes, expected loss given default (LGD) changes and recommendations for exposure changes over time.
He/she/they willPrepare annual reviews, quarterly reviews (if applicable), loan renewals, amendments, waivers, ratings, LGDs, and watchlist reports (the latter in conjunction with our work out team), including provisioning, for assigned borrowers.Preparation of specific quarterly portfolio reviews, and assessment of portfolio optimization for the credit exposures that are resident in that space.Prepare and update and maintain financial models and ensure the accuracy of all credit ratings based on a variety of different specific rating methodologies and in accordance with the US regulatory framework.Draft new deal opinions that evaluate a proposed transaction based on rating and return and the attractiveness of the new business as part of the Portfolio.Work seamlessly with Origination and Risk departments to ensure upgrades and downgrades in rating are achieved in a timely manner.Work collaboratively with internal Audit, Loan Review, Outside Auditors and Regulators with questions and issues pertaining to your assigned Borrowers.Assist with the improving inefficiencies in organization and processes and propose remedies or improvements to senior management.
The salary range for this position will be between $120,000 - $150,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.

Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferredCFA designation is a plus but not required2+ years of relevant experience required: portfolio management, credit analysis, experience with infrastructure/project finance, or FI based corporate analysis preferred.Ability to defend recommendations on new transactions at senior committee levels through oral and written presentations.Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), with proficiency in Excel (eg, cash flow modeling capabilities).Strong quantitative/analytic skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and multi-task. Able to work collaboratively with internal partners.Some knowledge of legal lending contracts and regulatory aspects of banking is a plus.Ability to create and maintain macros and general object-based programming is beneficial.
