Kids First has an excellent career opportunity for a full time Speech-Language Pathologist in Blair and surrounding counties. Kids First is a multi-service child and family serving agency in Hollidaysburg PA founded in 2006. Kids First provides birth-to-three early intervention services, pediatric outpatient therapy, school-based therapy, parent/child counseling, child welfare family reunification and family preservation services, parenting from prison programs, home visiting parent education, Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts, and a nationally accredited childcare and early learning program. *Responsibilities:*
* Maintain written documentation for all speech therapy services rendered including documentation of initial assessment, follow-up visits, and discharge summary consistent with professional and department standards.* Communicate patient's status to the referring physician and other health care/education team members.* Complete necessary charge and statistical information to accurately reflect the service rendered to the patient/student.* Achieve and maintain a level of productivity which meets or exceeds the standard established by the employer while ensuring delivery of quality care.* Provide verbal and/or written home instructions to patient/student and family members when applicable.* Participate in the organization's clinical education program by providing clinical supervision of students completing internships from various universities as requested.
*Work Settings:*
The speech-language pathologist will provide speech and language therapy, assessment, and treatment using advanced clinical skills in one or more of these pediatric settings:
· Home and community-based Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) services with infants, toddlers, and their families enrolled In Pennsylvania’s birth-to-three early intervention program.
· School-based Individualized Education Plan (IEP) services with preschool and/or school-age children enrolled in preschool early intervention or special education through their local school district.
· Outpatient clinic-based services in our Hollidaysburg clinic with pediatric patients from infants to 21 years, but predominantly ages 3 to 10 years.
*Schedule and Benefits:*
· The full-time SLP position is a salaried exempt position.
· The typical clinical schedule is a four-day work week, 8:30-6:45 Monday to Wednesday and 8:30-5:15 Thursday.
