Position Description
Overall Responsibilities:
The Delivery Driver loads and transports material from the plant to various customers/locations, as well as picks up materials from vendors.
Essential Job Functions:Safely operate company vehicle/truck to transport products between plants and remote/depot locations on time and according to delivery and facility processing schedulesConfirm route schedule and details with site Production ManagersVerify daily preventative maintenance of vehicle/truckOperate a forklift in a skilled and safe mannerAssist in inventory management including quarterly physical inventory countsComplete 5S checklistFollow trucking/loading SOPVerify wheels are chocked prior to entering trailerSupport production operations when not conducting delivery dutiesObserve all safety policies and procedures at all timesRepresent VT professionally when interacting with vendors, customers, and othersOther duties as assignedPosition Requirements

Qualifications:
•Available to work 8 to 10 hours a day, 5 to 6 days per week
•Ability to work individually or with team members as assigned
•Must have valid CDL A license
•2 years' driving experience, specifically a box truck
•Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
•Must have an excellent driving record
•All team members are expected to follow the Code of Conduct to the highest standards as well as to adhere to the Attendance Policy of VT Industries
Physical Requirements
Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slipper, or erratically moving surfaces. Bend body downward and forward by bending at the waist. Stand and walk for extended periods of time. Push, pull, lift, and grasp, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Must have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment. Subject to indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, including extreme cold and extreme heat on occasion.
