MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: 3 years minimum experience administering with Windows Server 2016/2019, Windows 10/11 Client systems, or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7/8 Familiarity with Cyber Security tooling (i.e. HBSS, ACAS and E-SIEM and STIG Process) Active DoD 8570 Level II Certification (e.g. Security CE, CCNA Security, etc.) DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, etc.; will consider additional years of related experience in lieu of a degree Experience supporting F5 BIG-IP Access Policy Manager (APM) and/or Application Security Manager (ASM) platforms; this includes installing, upgrading, and troubleshooting issues on these platforms Experience IAVM DoD security implementation including STIG and security tools Knowledgeable with implementing Cyber-Security best practices Familiarity with Nutanix Acropolis HyperVisor (AHV), Prism Elements, and Enterprise Cloud Administration with Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) Certification Knowledgeable with installation, configuration, security hardening and administration for VMware version 7.0 3 years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Systems Administration or equivalent years of experience with Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certificate Security-Enhanced (SE) Linux and Red Hat repository administration Active Directory Domain Services and Group Policy installation, configuration and administration Domain Name System (DNS) and BIND installation and configuration experience including DNSSEC Ability to run, build and execute PowerShell scripts for diagnostics, repairs or automation Secure Socket Layer (SSL) & Transport Layer Security (TLS) and other cipher suites and how to enforce them for workstations and servers Exceptional organizational, verbal and written skills SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL WITH TOP SECRET / SCI ELIGIBILITY ABOUT US Scientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry, as well as independent institutions. SRC is searching for a System Administrator to support sustainment of North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) systems. These systems consist of an on-premises Nutanix Hyper-Converged Private Cloud utilizing VMware ESXi Hypervisor and associated products as well as a Nutanix Acropolis Hypervisor environment. The Private Cloud hosts NORAD and USNORTHCOM Mission Applications and Web Services including the Situational Awareness Geospatial Enterprise (SAGE) and Air Event Information Sharing Service (A/EISS) applications, as well as the Global Command and Control System-Joint (GCCS-J) Program of Record (PoR) Systems and Information Technology (IT) infrastructure including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers. Sustainment of NORAD and USNORTHCOM systems will be conducted at the government's facilities in Colorado Springs, CO. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Operates, manages, and maintains On-Prem VMware Horizon Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) for the customer to include troubleshooting, break fix activities, the patching and remediation of servers, and system audit log reviews as necessary Performs actions as a Windows System Administrator on Servers and Client images Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management Works across disciplines to isolate issues between software, firmware, and hardware, between software and operating systems, between networks and applications, and between one-time events and recurrent systemic problems Designs and documents installation and configuration solutions Creates templates and machine images based on user requirements Performs maintenance and patching of the environment Provides Tier 2/3 support for NORAD & USNORTHCOM J6 Mission Systems team Works remotely using USNORTHCOM Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) to support Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC)
