This is a full-time, hourly position, 7:30-4:00 pm, Monday through Thursday and 7:30-12:00 on Fridays. The clinic is only open during school months. The Behavior Health Provider (BHP) will provide on-site mental health services for the students at the SBHC or at feeder schools.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· The BHP will offer individual, group and or family counseling.
· Needs to be maintain daily quota of minimum of 4 clients.
· The BHP must work collaboratively with the Medical Provider, Medical Director and RN to ensure all needs are met for the students.
· The BHP must document all encounters with a client in a timely manner.
· Assessment of psychosocial and behavioral health needs.
· Conducts psychosocial assessments for the students.
· Treatment plans must include SMART GOALS- must be Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound and perform ongoing monitoring of the plan of care to evaluate effectiveness.
· Must be proficient in Microsoft office and the EMR, CPSI.
· Must be willing to attend after school events as needed.
· Must be willing to help out in clinic with daily tasks and cleaning. (there is no housekeeping in the clinic)
· Referrals may be made to the BHP by any of the following sources: school personnel, parents, clinic personnel, self-referral or others in the community.
· Group therapy is an effective form of treatment for students and the appropriateness of the group will be determined by the BHP.
· Possible groups that the School Based Health Clinic (SBHC) BHP may offer include but are not limited to:
Academic achievement
ADHD
Aggression
Anxiety reduction
Assertiveness
Behavioral management
Disabilities
Discipline
Diversity
Emotional regulation
Family difficulties/problems/change
Grief/loss
Immigration issues
LGBTQ related issues
Peer difficulties

· The individual services provided to students will include but is not limited to:
Anger management
Parenting skills
Mental health screenings
Stress management
Suicide evaluation, anxiety, depression
Emotional support and encouragement
Anticipatory Guidance
Counseling for Behavior modifications
· The BHP is responsible for maintaining the number of visits daily as required by the state contract.
· The BHP will adhere to the guidelines and rules of the contract for the SBHC as noted in the behavioral health guide and policies of RMC and SBHC.
· The BHP will comply with guidelines of the Code of Ethics by American Counseling Association.
· The BHP is responsible for scheduling all BH appointments, keeping up with the schedules in CPSI, and documenting on CPSI.
· The BHP must see crisis students or unscheduled students prn.
· The BHP may need to refer students to other behavioral health agencies for services beyond the scope of practice of the SBHC BHP.
· In emergency circumstances, the parent/guardian must be contacted.
· Discharge planning will be a joint decision between the SBHC BHP and the student.
· Is familiar with and will be a participant in the QI program at the SBHC.
· Promote integration of services for patients and coordinates with other providers to enhance to continuity of care for patients.
· LPC needs to have telehealth certification or be willing to get certification. LCSW must be familiar with telehealth according to license.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a licensed provider or a LMSW or PLPC actively pursuing the professional license. The SBHC must complete a written plan for obtaining a license and an agreement for supervision by the appropriate licensed mental health professional with licensing to occur within three years if the employee is not licensed.
Must have a Master’s degree.
BLS certification is recommended but not required.
The provider must maintain all CEU and training hours as required for their license.
The supervision of this job is the Director of the SBHC.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
