This position will be responsible for supporting the needs of the department by performing various financial or data analyses, preparing standard and/or ad hoc healthcare financial utilization reports (such as Rate Development Template reports, Prop56 & GEMT analysis, supplemental payment reconciliation, revenue reconciliation, GL mapping of healthcare costs, and pharmacy reports, etc.). In addition, this position will also provide other support for departmental projects such as budget analysis and researching financial healthcare utilization trends and variances. This position requires strong accounting knowledge, working knowledge of extracting data from SQL databases by running and writing queries, and experience with extracting data from large ERP accounting systems. The candidate must have excellent communication skills, proven problem-solving skills, and ability to multi-task, in addition to collaborating with inter-departments to ensure member needs are met while simultaneously building strong peer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in the preparation and completion of the Rate Development Template (RDT) reports.2. Create standard and ad-hoc healthcare utilization reports to support the Contracting Department and Leadership for strategic decision-making purposes.3. Prepare, analyze, and reconcile financial healthcare data from organization’s operations.4. Use SQL Server tables to develop analytical reports, including conducting analysis, summarizing and interpretation of results.5. Act as primary liaison with Information Technology and Healthcare Informatics departments to define and translate requirements into technical applications.6. Perform quality assurance and peer review on financial data analysis reports and other output.

Education & Experience
Minimum of three (3) years of financial or data analysis in a healthcare settingBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution required
Key Qualifications
Moderate skill level in SQL and Access (or equivalent database) data manipulationStrong knowledge and experience utilizing Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint. Skilled in thoroughly documenting database queries, macros, etc. as defined by policyCross-train and back up other areas of the department
