We are a full-service top CPA firm in the Kansas City area that provides services in tax, auditing, litigation support, fraud investigation, forensics, valuations, technology consulting and business consulting. We are looking for a candidate for a position in our and Forensic Accounting/Audit Department to join our well established team. This position would focus on work investigating fraud, quantifying economic damages and also working on traditional audit/attestation work. We are looking for someone with the following:
Requirements and Preferred Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related degree
- CPA or CPA Candidate via Master's degree, Dual Bachelor's Degrees or 150 credit hours
- General accounting understanding
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to work in team environment to resolve client issues found during engagement
- Ability to plan and supervise engagements
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to learn new information and skills quickly
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 programs (Word, Excel, Teams)
- Experience with ProSystem Engagement preferred
- Data analysis and critical thinking skills
- 4 to 8 years' experience in Public accounting
Job Responsibilities
- Participation in audit process: planning, executing, documentation, report drafting
- Interaction with key client personnel to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business improvements
- Research and Understand GAAP accounting related issues
- Research and Understand GAAS related issues
