Academic Urology & Urogynecology of Arizona (owned and operated by Palo Verde Cancer Specialists) is searching for an Advanced Practice Practitioner (NP or PA) to join our ever-growing practice! This position would travel between our Litchfield Park, Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Sun City locations.

General Duties & Responsibilities of the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant:Performs complete evaluations on patients of all agesOrders and interprets appropriate lab, x-ray, and special studiesEstablishes a working diagnosis based upon acquired dataDevelops a treatment plan for urological conditions in accordance with current urology practice and in conjunction with the urologistImplements therapeutic interventionProvides appropriate follow-up careExercises judgment on conditions requiring consultation, referral, or evaluation by the supervising urologist or other healthcare professionalsAll other duties as assignedOffice Duties & ResponsibilitiesSees new and follow-up patients and provides problem-oriented intervention for their urological conditionsAssists in care, treatment, and follow-up as neededPerforms and/or assists in-office procedures, including transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) volume studies, cystoscopies, post-void residual (PVRs) evals, difficult catheterizations, post-op voiding trails, and other necessary proceduresOrders and interprets lab, x-ray, special studies, and clinical procedures and provides appropriate care and follow-upProvides phone/video consultation for patient complaints and prescription refillsPerforms on-call duties for urologyEvaluates, screens, and counsels patients on health maintenance and promotes utilization of community resourcesJob Requirements

Education & Experience requirements of the Urology Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP):Master of Science in Nursing or equivalent PA program degreeCurrent valid state medical licenseDEA/DPS licensePrevious Urology experience is a plus but, not required.Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.Ability to work with others and demonstrate leadership qualitiesBenefits:
