SR. HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALISTThe Sr. Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting the HR strategy in alignment with the companys goals and objectives.
This role also leads policy and process adherence, manages payroll, handles employee relations and performance management, manages employee benefits and perks, and indirectly leads and mentors the HR Coordinator.RESPONSIBILITIESAdhering to the HR Strategic Plan to support the mission, vision and values of the organization, with a focus on attracting and retaining talentManaging policies and processes that provide clarity for employees and mitigate risk for the organizationManaging the talent acquisition process and the employee lifecycle including employee performance and development; interviewing candidates and making recommendations to leaders on hiring decisionsOverseeing on-boarding activities for new hires; providing back-up to HR Coordinator when they are unavailableAccurately processing payroll on a timely basis with close attention to detailPartnering with HR Director to facilitate the annual merit increases, bonuses, promotions, and off-cycle compensation processDriving health and welfare benefits initiatives, including leading annual enrollment employee communications, ensuring benefits are aligned with payroll, and dealing with complex employee questions and issues within HIPAA guidelinesManaging training and development activities, providing reports, analyzing data, and working with leaders and HR Director to identify training needs within the organizationCreating department checklists to ensure all processes are followed consistentlyDesigning volunteer and community support programs in which the company and employees can participateHandling employee relations and unemployment issues, including documentation, and elevating to the Human Resources Director, as appropriatePreparing HR metrics and reporting that provide meaningful information to the businessActing as mentor to the HR Coordinator to help them develop in their HR career; providing them with guidanceEstablishing frequent meetings with the Human Resource Director to keep them up-to-date on important issues and initiativesEffectively promoting diversity and adeptly working with multicultural teams within the organization, fostering an inclusive and equitable environmentEnsuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements, staying up-to-date on new legislation, and implementing required policies and practicesEnsuring compliance with HR record retentionSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREDBachelors degreeMinimum of 5 years of professional Human Resources in food manufacturing or related industryDirect or indirect management experiencePrefer multi-lingual in both English and SpanishAbility to effectively communicate and implement policies and processes to drive continuous improvementHigh level of integrity and trust with the ability to protect confidential informationAbility to handle diverse human resources and conflict management issues in a professional and mature mannerHigh level of knowledge of benefit programs with ability to effectively communicate them to employeesAbility to adapt as the needs of the role and company evolve with flexibility in a dynamic and ever-changing industryStrong level of experience in Human Resources on an operational and functional levelCritical thinking with clear, fact-based written and verbal communication skillsStrong level of experience with payroll processing and systemsADDITIONAL DETAILSSALARY:
$75,000 + 10% bonus opportunityWORK LOCATION:
This position will be based out of the Shakopee, MN office with the option of working from home 1 day per week.REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
