Sr. Quality InspectorJob Purpose:

Responsible to maintain Quality standards by reviewing incoming materials, in-process production, finished product, auditing process compliance, calibration and recording / reporting quality resultsFLSA Status:

Hourly Non-ExemptJob Duties/Responsibilities:Utilizing standard and advanced measurement equipment/tools, and managing quality records and documentationStrong mechanical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ANSI Y14.5)Verify correct layout and installation of wiring, cables, subassemblies, hardware, and componentsVerify proper crimps; wire stripping, wire installation and PWB assemblyVerify Engineering requirements for mechanical and electrical components, drawings and specificationsVerify plated and painted areas for uniformityFollow Engineering and Inspection documents to ensure that all assembly, inspecting, and testing steps were performed according to specifications and PO requirementsPerforms sampling, inspections, documentation review, data entry and record keeping as required, prepares required documents for shipment of productAssist management in conducting and documenting formal procedures, inquiries and investigations to determine the cause of quality or problems and recommend verbal and/or written corrective action to managementCoordinate or perform calibration of all equipment and fixturesAssist or conduct first article inspectionsAny other tasks as assigned by ManagementInteracts effectively with coworkers and management in order to resolve problems

Qualifications:High School diploma1-5 years quality assurance, quality control or related industry manufacturing experienced requiredMust be proficient at Basic Math (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division)Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or TS16949 standardsDemonstrated ability to follow instructions, read and interpret Engineering drawings, schematics and specificationsPrior inspection experience and experience with IPC 610 and J-STD-001 and IPC-620 highly desiredOrganizational skills, good verbal and written communication skills, and Basic (working) knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelHighly detail orientedBasic (working) knowledge of Basic Computer Usage (File Creation, Saving and Printing)Ability to work effectively in an office, laboratory, warehouse, and packaging and manufacturing environmentUse of measuring tools, calipers, misc, etcBasic knowledge of GD&T desiredMust be able to lift at least 40 pound units during inspectionPlease note: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
