POSITION SUMMARYWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to take charge of our month-end close process and financial statement preparation. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting expertise, keen attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities including overseeing the accounting cycle, supervising the accounting department, streamlining procedures, and collaborating with all departments to ensure accuracy of financial results and adherence to company policies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMonitor bank account activity dailyReview, analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts to resolve discrepanciesPrepare and record monthly journal entriesOversee inventory accounting and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and alignment with financial recordsPrepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements in a timely fashionAssist with preparation of annual budgetAnalyze monthly costs and report variances to senior managementProcess biweekly payroll and monthly commissions through ADPSupervise and conduct performance reviews for AP/AR staffCoordinate with external accountant to provide necessary information for tax preparationInterpret financial results to provide insights and recommendations to managementAssess and improve accounting processes for greater efficiency and accuracyPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position is responsible for supervising a team of three accounting staff members.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONSBachelors degree in accounting or financeMinimum 3-5 years of accounting experience with a focus on month-end close and financial reportingKnowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparationIntermediate skills in Microsoft Excel including knowledge of Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPStrong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlinesCapable of multitasking, prioritizing, and organizing effectively and independentlyAbility to maintain confidentiality regarding company and employee informationExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Experience with ADP is a plusFamiliarity with Karmak Fusion software is a plus
