General Summary of Duties: Responsible for information and communication technologies for the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho government and Tribal citizens. Works IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages and communicates with organizational users.
TASKS, REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Able to work effectively as part of a team, and provide assistance to Tribal employees and
Tribal citizens;Responsible for oversight of Internet services including installation of equipment and trouble
shooting for all Tribal offices and Tribal homes.Ensures and monitors network and data security through development and implementation
of policies and procedures for users & IT systems checks; preserve assets by implementing
disaster recover, backup procedures, information security and control structures;Expertise in Microsoft platforms including Windows Server operating systems, Exchange,
SQL Server, SharePoint, and Internet Information Services (IIS);Install, configure and maintain system firewalls, VPN and wireless technologiesAt least 3 years experience in PC/Computer technician capacity with certification or 5 years
proven work experience as a PC/Computer technician in an office environment.
