Join the Evolution!Position SummaryThe CNC Machinist Trainee sets up and operates conventional, special purpose and CNC machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts.What will your day look like? At Aerotech, you willStudy blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirementsSet-up, operate, edit and program CNC machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and non-metallic partsSelect, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, and
grindersCalculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control mediaWhat will separate you from the rest? Experience withMazak CNC MachinesDeburring, or manual machining in a precision machine shopMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED and/or vocational-technical schoolEquivalent combination of education and experience may be consideredMust be available to work 1st shift, Monday-Friday from 7:00am - 3:30pmBenefitsAerotech has been advancing industries with our precision motion technology for more than 50 years.
