A hospital in California is looking for an experienced ICU RN for a travel assignment.The right candidate will have 2+ years of experience and hold an active CA license.Job Requirements
Must have 2+ years of ICU experience.Hold an active BLS, ACLS, PALS (preferred).Must have experience with ICP monitoring and ventrics.Candidates must have experience with trauma, neuro-strokes, head injuries, ventriculostomies, ICP monitoring, and post-TPA patients.Schedule Information
12 hr shifts, schedules made out about 6 weeks in advance.Every other weekend requirement.Unit Specific Information
ICU: 30 beds.Ratios: 1 to 1-2, 90% of the time will be 1 to 2 ratio.Charge Nurse present without patient assignments.Floating may be required to any of the telemetry or med-surg units.Floor specific orientation: 1 day on unit.Common diagnosis/Types of patients: trauma - travelers must have this experience, neuro-strokes, head injuries, ventriculostomies, ICP monitoring.Additional Details
Must have experience with trauma, neuro-strokes, head injuries.Candidates must be able to work very hard on this fast-paced unit.Must be open to asking questions or asking for help if needed.Must be able to get along well with others.Hospital has a very robust interventional radiology program.Traveler friendly.
