BLS, ACLS, PALS required.Must maintain current valid certification of the following throughout employment: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association must be completed within six (6) months of hire.Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) must be completed within 6 months of hire.National Institutes of Health (NIH) NIHSS must be completed within 6 months of hire.Job Details
Fingerprinting must be submitted and cleared prior to start.Must provide copies of current immunizations, negative Tb skin test proof of last two years (1 within 30 days prior to start), provide documentation of 2 MMR vaccinations, Tdap, and Flu shot.Clean background check required prior to arrival.Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation, a JCAHO accredited health center, provides services to a 4,400 square mile area and serves as a referral center for the western part of the Navajo and Hopi Reservations.Services provided to the community include comprehensive inpatient/outpatient emergency services, dental and ophthalmology services, orthopedics, OB/GYN, oral surgery, eye surgery and urological procedures.Approximately 49% of the surgeries performed are outpatient/ambulatory surgical procedures.The staff of medical providers includes surgeons, general medical officers, internal medicine, psychiatrists, pediatricians, family practice physicians, obstetricians, ENT specialists, orthopedic surgeons, and urologists.Job Requirements
Associate Degree in Nursing required.Must have and maintain a current valid unrestricted Professional Nursing License (RN) to practice nursing in any state of the United States of America, The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.The position is primarily within the Intensive Care Unit and periodically will FLOAT to ED, Med/Surg or Peds in case of low census.Provides Nursing Care to critically ill patients.The Registered Nurse performs a variety of responsible nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments and ability to work independently in completing assignments.Nursing duties include the provision of inpatient care and support in the 5 Bed I.C.U. to individuals of all ages and their families.After hours recovery of post op general surgery, pediatric, & OB patients as needed.Schedule Information
ORIENTATION: Every two (2) weeks only.Unit Specific Information
This position is primarily within the Intensive Care Unit and may require floating to ED, Med/Surg, or Peds in case of low census.Nursing Care responsibilities also include after-hours recovery of post-op general surgery, pediatric, & OB patients as needed.Additional Details
