- Graduate of accredited program of physical therapy, receiving a BS, BA, MS, MA, DPT Post professional master's or doctoral degree in related field (Health Policy, Business, Public Administration) is preferred- Working knowledge of Centers for Medicare Services, The Joint Commission, and Mass Dept. of Public Health preferred- Demonstrated competence directing a clinical service- Evidence of progressive leadership and management responsibility, including operations management, performance improvement and quality assessment initiatives, policy and procedure development, and effective collaboration with clinical and administrative leaders- Extensive clinical/professional experience in an acute care academic medical center environment required.Greater than 7 years preferred- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
We are seeking a dynamic leader for our extensive acute care physical therapy services! The Physical and Occupational Therapy Department at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) consists of a large acute care service and 6 ambulatory care practices.Our compassionate, vibrant, and dynamic group of more than 250 clinicians, 85 of whom are ABPTS, AOTA or ASHT board-certified clinical specialists, strives daily to provide top of license practice reflective of current physical and occupational therapy science. The acute care Physical Therapy Service delivers innovative care to the most medically complex patients in the world.Within a scope of more than a 1000 inpatient beds across, general care, critical, peri-operative and emergency services, our inquisitive and ambitious staff foster an environment of lifelong learning, collaboration, and professional advancement.
