Required:- Ability to effectively interact with a wide range of personality types, ages, and diverse cultural backgrounds in a rapidly changing environment.- Minimum of a Cardiac Rehabilitation Internship or 1-2 years experience in cardiac rehabilitation program. Other requirements are dependent on type and/or current needs of the unit.- Completion of an accredited degree program at the bachelor’s level Science in Exercise Physiology, Physical Therapy, Nursing or another Clinical Science degree is required.- BLS required.
The Exercise Physiologist is a vital member of the multidisciplinary cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation team.The Exercise Physiologist assesses patients; develops, implements and monitors exercise sessions as well as provide patient/family education as it relates to exercise, home exercise program, self¬ monitoring, risk factors/modifications and behavioral interventions.
