The CT Technologist, under the direction of the Radiology Manager and the Radiologist, performs computerized Tomography procedures including procedures of an invasive nature.Machine is a Toshiba Aquilon 64 slice scanner.The CT Technologist positions and instructs the patient, operates various pieces of specialized equipment and determines the technical factors for exposure.They must ensure correct marking/labeling of all films.The CT Technologist must consistently provide safe, quality patient care.They also must take call.Job Requirements
Graduate of approved AMA school of Radiology and be a registered ARRTPossess knowledge in cross sectional anatomyPossession of two years diagnostic experience desirableModerate to heavy physical effort required.Must apply proper body mechanics to safely transport patients and equipmentAbility to lift 40 pounds from floor to wheelchair or waistAbility to move 40 pounds six feetAbility to reach overhead holding 25 poundsAbility to lift 40 pounds from wheelchair to bed levelAbility to pull 40 pounds from stretcher to bedAbility to push 150 pound loaded stretcher 300 feetRequires good stamina with flexibility and good manual dexterity, motor skills to operate delicate equipmentRequires computer skillsDemonstrates accurate judgment/decision making ability consistent with radiology knowledge and skillsProvides quality customer service and patient care using the standard radiology technology in accordance with established hospital policy/proceduresAdditional Details
