TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Fredericksburg, Virginia, 22401 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: See hiring details Experience: Minimum 2 years in SICU License: Valid VA or Compact License Certifications: ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Interpretation & management of dysrhythmias, arterial line management, blood product administration Job Description: - Care for patients with acute ventilator needs, high oxygen demand due to respiratory issues, and severe infections. - Manage complex cases such as diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), severe sepsis, unstable gastrointestinal bleeds, trauma, open heart recovery, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) recovery, post-cardiac arrest care, multi-system organ failure, and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT). - Work in a Level II Trauma Center with ratios of 1:2-3, appropriate to skill level and patient acuity. - Required to work every other weekend; on-call is not required. - Be adaptable to float within the facility to meet varying needs. - Completion of up to 8 hours of mandatory modules within one week of signing the contract. - A team-oriented environment, requiring collaboration with other healthcare professionals. - Strict adherence to safety protocols and hospital procedures. Note: Travel pairs are not allowed on the SICU unit.
