TravelWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Glens Falls, NY. The ideal ICU RN will possess at least one year of ICU experience or strong step-down experience and will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.Job Description: ICU Registered Nurse (RN)Location: Glens Falls, NYShift: 7am-7:30pm (Days) or 7pm-7:30am (Nights)Weekly Hours: 36 HoursDuration: 13 WeeksLicense & Certifications required:• Current RN license in New York State.• Basic Life Support (BLS)• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)Additional Requirement:• Minimum 2 years experience.• Must be willing to float to MS/Tele if needed with a max of 4 patients.• Every other weekend and every other holiday.• Facility requires de-escalation training for all units (Welle, CPI or PMCS).• Must have EPIC experience and strongly prefer CERNER experience.• Must have min 4 years of nursing and min 2.5 years in Critical Care.Key Responsibilities:• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients as an ICU Registered Nurse (RN) in the ICU setting.• Monitor vital signs and patient conditions, performing cardiac monitoring as required for ICU patients.• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to protocols and standards expected of an ICU RN.• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored for ICU patients.• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care, leveraging your expertise as an ICU Registered Nurse.• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using the Meditech system, crucial for effective ICU nursing.• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold infection control standards within the ICU.• Respond effectively to emergency situations, providing life-saving interventions as needed, a critical responsibility for an ICU RN.vTech Healthcare Job ID #29909.
