Great consultant benefits Remote work Early career experienceJob DetailsWe are seeking an experienced Pre-Litigation Plaintiff’s Employment Attorney to join our team. This role primarily focuses on resolving employment disputes in the pre-litigation phase. The successful candidate will work closely with clients and opposing counsel to negotiate and achieve fair settlements before the need for formal litigation. This position requires an understanding of employment law, excellent negotiation skills, and a commitment to advocating for employee rights.Key Responsibilities:1. Case Assessment and Evaluation: Review potential cases, assess strengths and weaknesses, and determine settlement viability to establish a resolution strategy aligned with the client's goals2. Client Communication: Maintain open, regular communication with clients to ensure they are informed of case status, strategy, and settlement progress3. Negotiation with Opposing Counsel: Act as the primary point of contact with opposing counsel to explore settlement opportunities, negotiate terms, and secure favorable outcomes4. Drafting and Reviewing Agreements: Prepare, review, and finalize settlement agreements to protect clients’ interests and ensure enforceability5. Legal Research: Conduct legal research to support settlement positions and effectively counter opposing counsel’s arguments6. Documentation and Case Management: Maintain organized case files, document all negotiations and communications, and ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards7. Collaboration with Team Members: Work closely with paralegals and other team members to prepare supporting documents, gather necessary evidence, and ensure thorough case preparation8. Client Counseling on Settlement Offers: Guide clients on the benefits and drawbacks of settlement options, taking into account their legal rights and best interestsQualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and member of CA state bar Proven experience in employment law, particularly in plaintiff-side representation Strong negotiation skills with a successful track record of pre-litigation settlements Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to clients clearly High ethical standards, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently Ability to work collaboratively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team membersInterested in hearing more?
