Job Title: Radiation Therapist Job Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology - Radiation Therapist Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience required License: Current CRT license in the State of California Certifications: - Current ARRT license in Radiation Therapy - Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certificate Must-Have: - Technical knowledge of department equipment - Functional knowledge of all ancillary equipment including Varian TrueBeam and VitalBeam accelerator, Varisource/HDR, CT Simulator, and Aria Treatment Planning System Job Description: - Perform radiation therapy treatments using advanced radiation oncology technology. - Collaborate with radiologists and oncologists to develop treatment plans. - Operate and manage equipment such as accelerators and simulation machines. - Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed. - Document treatments in the Epic Documentation System. - Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans. - Provide quality patient care, respecting patient confidentiality and dignity. - Adapt to dynamic clinical environments and patient needs. - Complete required modules and training pre-start. Candidates will have the opportunity to float within the hospital based on census needs and must be prepared to meet the requirements of the role diligently and efficiently. Flu vaccination is required, with medical and religious exemptions only. New travelers with a California license in hand are accepted, and a reference within the last two years is necessary.
