Position SummaryThe IT Director located in Washington DC will be responsible for providing the vision, leadership, planning and management for the development, acquisition, implementation and support of technology across the organization. This position will partner with management and key stakeholders to align company information technology with strategic direction and build the technology organization processes and procedures to support business needs. This role contributes significantly to the support and the success of the organization by ensuring the right scalability for our business, and providing the technical expertise and ability to assess what technologies and platforms are necessary to achieve the company’s growth plans. Responsibilities of this position include strategy & planning, acquisition and deployment, and operational management.Position ResponsibilitiesSupports and encourages others to support the Mission, Core, Values and Goals of the company.Plans, develops, directs, and coordinates all technology projects to ensure that project goals are achieved, interfacing with the customer to ensure that the IT needs of initiatives are met.Establishes, plans, and administers the overall policies and goals for the information technology department.Analyzes the needs of different departments and determines ways to meet business objectives by modifying existing or developing new information processing systems.Leads the execution of technology strategy for technology platforms, partnerships with businesses, and external relationships for all businesses partners.Builds and manages a high performing technology team as well as program management.Responsible for the full life cycle development of an integrated system environment.Responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the operational Systems, including defining the network architecture, assessing and mitigating security risks, and developing security and contingency plans, to ensure a 99.9% or greater system uptime.Anticipates and reacts to major technology changes to ensure the maintenance of leadership in the competitive landscape.Implements technical standards and ensures adherence to them for product development and company operations.Markets technology effectively across the IT group and its external stakeholders.Provides support for all Business units in the adoption of use of enterprise wide technologies and develop migration plans of technologies to support necessary future direction and acquisitions.Manages the deployment and configuration of systems.Skills, Abilities and RequirementsHealthcare and/or Community Health Center industry and practices.Healthcare Information Systems, preferred.PC usage, Windows and Microsoft Office applications.Technology strategy.Abilities and Skills:Ability to interpret technology and market trends.Ability to manage multiple priorities.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations.Ability to work with mathematical concepts, such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others as a team.Ability to keep abreast of current procedures and requirements affecting health care technology systems.Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases.Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.Exceptional planning, time management, problem solving and logical troubleshooting computer skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills and excellent Customer Service skills including telephone conversations and face-to-face.Process-oriented with documentation and project management skills.Individual must show initiative and motivation and must demonstrate successful interpersonal relationship skills.Perform position responsibilities with minimal supervision.Relationship builder and team player.
