The Disney Experiences Learning Strategy team is seeking a Learning Content Curator & Design Manager for a full-time salaried role based in Glendale (CA), reporting to the Sr. Manager, Learning Strategy. This role supports the design, development, and facilitation of learning content for programs supporting leaders of all levels.
Responsibilities:
Partner with key clients and learning colleagues to develop holistic learning strategies that build skills and capabilities.
Apply learning theory/models and maintain knowledge of cutting-edge approaches to deliver impactful learning solutions.
Leverage Instructional Systems Design (ISD) to curate existing learning content and identify new content needs.
Cultivate relationships across the HR and business community to interpret needs and recommend learning solutions.
Develop measurement strategies to understand the impact of learning for both participants and the organization.
Drive post-learning analysis and measurement to enhance learning experiences.
Ensure appropriate sourcing and licensing for all learning content in development.
Maintain a clear understanding of various participant learning styles.
Act as a thought partner in utilizing existing learning resources to develop leaders within The Walt Disney Company.
Basic Qualifications:
5 or more years of experience in performance consulting, training, learning and development, or organizational development.
Strong consulting and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of various development approaches including formal training and relationship-based development.
Ability to facilitate complex content and adapt to various audiences.
Ability to gain credibility and influence executive audiences.
Demonstrated project management skills and confidentiality with sensitive information.
Ability to synthesize data for strategic recommendations.
Demonstrated business acumen and knowledge of industry trends.
Exceptional presentation skills for diverse audiences.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience as a learning and development consultant for a Fortune 100 company.
Knowledge in training and development models, adult learning theory, or instructional design.
Experience with instructional facilitation for diverse employee types.
Required Education:BA/BS in Business, Education, Instructional Design, Psychology, or related field – OR – Relevant equivalent experience.
Preferred Education:Advanced Degree in Education, Industrial Psychology, or Organizational Development.
Formal certification in applying learning models or curriculum development.
The hiring range for this position in California is $111,900.00 - $136,700.00 per year. The base pay will account for internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, along with other benefits.
