Ad Platform Infrastructure & DevOps Engineering is responsible for providing a stable multicloud platform for the linear and addressable engineering teams to build upon. Our activities stretch from building and automating mission-critical infrastructure in AWS and Azure to defining custom deployment pipelines to troubleshooting performance issues in the build to service mesh layers. We build a wide range of custom engineering enablement tools and support these as part of the SDLC critical path. The individual we are looking for will provide leadership in all of these areas.Key Responsibilities:Lead team planning and coordination within each sprint.
Coordinate with the other Ad Platform teams to ensure proper prioritization.
Hold high quality standards to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, and reusable.
Navigate and solve issues between teams with respect to project initiatives and technical dependencies.
Remediate issues between members of your team, both interpersonal and technical in nature.
Mentor team members and participate in their growth as engineers.
Guide technical solutions to ensure they align with business needs and timelines.
Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.
8+ years of cloud infrastructure experience.
8+ years of software development experience with a foundational programming language like Java, C#, JavaScript, Go, Scala, or Python.
3+ years of experience with running containers on Kubernetes: EKS or AKS.
Advanced expertise in AWS and/or Azure, Service Mesh implementations, Terraform, automation and devops workflows.
SOX compliance and requirements familiarity.
Experience with Spinnaker/Jenkins and Docker.
Demonstrable analytical/problem solving skills in a complex environment.
Great communication and collaboration skills with a strong focus on continuous improvement and teamwork with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven leader who has grown the careers of engineers, driven change, and made an impact.
Strongly Preferred:Deep experience with AWS and Azure.
AWS and/or Azure Certifications.
Experience managing EKS and Istio.
Anomaly detection.
AIOps.
Experience managing vendor relationships and teams.
Ad Tech industry experience.
The hiring range for this position in Seattle, WA or New York, NY is between $156,300 – $209,600, Los Angeles, CA is between $149,300 – $200,200 year, in San Francisco is between $163,500 – $219,200. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
