Job Summary

The VP of Business Systems & Technology leads AEG Global Technology's US Business Applications, HRIS, and Digital teams. Collaborating with stakeholders and executive leaders, they drive the development and execution of the business applications and digital strategy to achieve AEG's commercial and operational goals, particularly for the Los Angeles venues. This role oversees a team focused on delivering best-in-class customer engagement and operational products, aimed at increasing revenue, enhancing fan experiences, and improving productivity. Additionally, the VP works closely with AEG Global Partnerships to support new and existing partnerships, with an emphasis on technology and innovation.

Essential FunctionsBUSINESS APPLICATIONS:

Be responsible for business applications which support the operations of our corporate headquarters and our LA venues, including defining and delivering the strategy for our business applications, managing the selection and appointment of new vendors and the implementation of new applications, contractual and financial monitoring of our relationships with vendors, delivering upgrades and enhancement projects, and the provision of best-in-class support. Manage the relationship between Global Technology and Corporate Finance, AEG Presents US, AEG Sports and AXS with respect to their business applications. This includes delivering and maintaining any Global Technology services or systems on which their applications depend and identifying and capitalizing on opportunities for collaboration and synergy between business units with respect to business applications. Manage the AEG Global Technology US Business Applications and HRIS teams, setting goals and defining projects and priorities to deliver best in class business applications which drive process improvement and operational efficiency.VENUE TECHNOLOGY AT LOS ANGELES VENUES:

Lead the in-venue, customer facing technology strategy for Crypto.com Arena, Peacock Theater and Dignity Health Sports Park, including mobile platforms and point of sale, to drive incremental revenue. Be responsible for contractual and financial monitoring of our relationships with external suppliers who support our activities in this area. Co-ordinate ecommerce and payment solutions across the Los Angeles estate, including working with the Global Partnerships team to support sponsor initiatives.SUPPORTING GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS OPPORTUNITIES:

Work with AEG Global Partnerships to support the acquisition of new partners and the renewal of existing ones, including partnerships which focus specifically on technology and innovation, and also through the use of data, insight and technology to support the goals of all of our partners.DRIVING INNOVATION THROUGH TECHNOLOGY:

Promote innovation through the use of new technology and digital transformation in our businesses to support our business goals for customer experience, engagement, increased profitability, and process improvement and efficiency. Manage team members who deliver products developed using Microsoft PowerApps to support business operations.ARENA PREMIUM BUSINESS:

Support the premium sales business at Arena, through the use of technology to drive revenue and sales productivity.AXS: TICKETING TECHNOLOGY:

Lead the relationship between AXS and the LA-based businesses on matters relating to ticketing.STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT:

Work with key stakeholders to understand the strategy and imperatives of our businesses. Develop, prioritize and execute our digital strategy through which we will deliver our commercial and operational ambitions. Develop and manage the team’s operational and capital budgets to enable the delivery of the services and projects which will underpin that strategy.

Required QualificationsBA/BS Degree (4-year) Computer Science or Business Administration10+ years related work experience, including 5+ years leading a team.Experience of managing and building applications teams.Strong experience of running application and digital projects to success.Exceptional communication skills including the ability to communicate upwards in the organization.Ability to present complex technical concepts to senior management and non-technical groups.Ability to lead by example and build relationships across diverse organizations.Strong vendor management skills.Ability to build and manage budgets.Ability to develop and implement long-term technology strategies aligned with business goals.Skilled in driving organizational change, fostering adoption of new technologies, and managing resistance.Capacity to leverage emerging technologies like AI, cloud computing, and automation to drive innovation.Strong understanding of business operations, financial drivers, and how technology solutions impact the bottom line.Skilled in negotiating contracts, resolving conflicts, and aligning competing interests within the organization.Proficiency in managing large-scale IT projects, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with business objectives.Ability to engage and manage expectations with key stakeholders, including C-suite executives, partners, and clients.

Pay Scale : $210,000 – $275,000.
