Job Responsibilities
Oversee all plant operations, including production, quality assurance, maintenance, safety, and warehousing.
Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency goals.
Ensure production schedules are met, while maintaining high standards of product quality and safety.
Ensure full compliance with USDA and FDA regulations, including HACCP, GMP, SOP, and other applicable food safety and quality standards.
Ensure that the plant complies with all OSHA, USDA, and company safety policies.
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure all products meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
Oversee audits and inspections, both internal and external, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Develop and manage the plant's budget, ensuring cost controls and profitability.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
7+ years of experience in a management role within a USDA-regulated meat processing facility.
Strong understanding of USDA, HACCP, GMP, and other food safety regulations.
Experience with production scheduling, plant operations, and process optimization.
Proven ability to lead and develop large teams, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a results-driven mindset.
HACCP Certification, Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
