Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

The Opportunity:Reporting to the VP of Corporate Development and in partnership with cross-functional R&D leaders, you will use your business and science expertise to help advance and augment Revolution Medicines’ pipeline through strategic partnerships and transactions.

The Corporate Development team takes an entrepreneurial approach to the creation, growth, and protection of the RVMD pipeline.

We partner across the organization to identify and deliver external opportunities at all stages of discovery and development through licensing, partnering, or acquisition of target assets/technologies/etc.

The Director of Search & Evaluation will play a critical role in identifying relevant opportunities, leading detailed scientific, clinical, and commercial assessments, and will represent RVMD externally in business and scientific forums.

The successful candidate will establish excellent working relationships with senior leadership across the company and be capable of leading a senior team to inform and drive cross-functional decision-making.

The Director will cultivate relationships within the external innovation community and identify and prioritize high-value external assets, innovation, and opportunities for future investment.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

MD or PhD with 5+ years of demonstrated ability in oncology drug development.

Extensive experience organizing thorough diligence efforts on external assets under consideration for in-licensing/collaboration and/or on RVMD assets considered for collaboration.

Deal experience and proven foundation of BD practices and approaches.

Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills, demonstrating flexibility, and a consistent record to take care of complexity under time pressure.

Excellent communication and influencing skills across multiple internal and external collaborator groups.

Strong scientific background with knowledge of oncology-targeted therapies, immunotherapies, and other modalities in the solid tumor space, including an understanding of the evolving clinical landscape in relevant areas.

Ability to navigate and be successful in a fast-paced, highly matrixed work environment.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in oncology clinical development and familiarity with the journey from IND to approval.

2 years in business development.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $210,000 to $243,000 for candidates based at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the minimum and maximum salary for the position in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.
