DescriptionOur client is a clinical-stage oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit targets in unique cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises of inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to cancer patients.The Opportunity:Reporting directly to the Head of Market Analytics, the Director, Commercial Analytics will be a key contributor as we build our Commercial organization. In this role you will lead the advanced analytics efforts which are critical for our brand strategy, launch planning, forecasting, and sales operations activities. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a comprehensive analytics plan and data strategy considering marketing, sales clinical, medical affairs, and market access initiatives. You will grow with your team to support expanding market analytics needs. This position is based out of our client’s headquarters in the San Francisco Bay Area.Responsibilities include:Develop first-hand knowledge of Commercial data sets and support stakeholders as a trusted subject matter expert to navigate emerging business needs and the evolving data landscape.Data stewardship: you will partner closely with IT and other organizational stakeholders to develop a data strategy to support our client’s first commercial product, to inform a Master Data Management plan, and to identify and acquire critical data elements.Utilize detailed physician-level, patient-level, and transactional-level data to glean business insights to inform activities such as sales force sizing and optimization, KPI and launch dashboard development, and physician segmentation and targeting.Conduct in-depth analysis of market data to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics, providing actionable insights to inform commercial strategies and tactics.Collaborate with other Analytics and Insights team members, as well as cross functional partners, to develop integrated holistic analyses to address critical business questions and launch readiness priorities.Communicate and align with key internal stakeholders around analytics objectives and outputs including qualifying the results based on the strength of the data and identifying limitations.Develop and present timely final reports and actionable recommendations to key stakeholders, focusing on key findings and relevant implications to each stakeholder group, and senior leadership.Demonstrate the ability to quickly understand complex markets, disease states, competitive landscapes, and relevant market and managed care dynamics.Represent Company Values with both internal and external partners establishing the organization as a trusted member of the community.Participate in cross-functional teams to gather input for functional activities, and ensure alignment e.g., with clinical development, medical affairs, and IT.Deliver operating expenses within budget.Travel as needed.Other duties as assigned.Required Skills, Experience and Education:Bachelor’s degree required with 6 +years of progressive experience in data analytics and strategic analysis.Extensive secondary analytical skills required; ability to translate the data and learning into actionable recommendations for business growth.Experience in new product launches and pre-launch environments.Track record of being a collaborative team player, and adaptive to meet the needs of a growing business.Strong problem solver with experience leveraging a variety of research and analytical vendors, study designs, and building quality research vendor partnerships.Demonstrated ability to influence senior management and key business partners.Proven experience in a smaller, rapidly growing company.Excellent organizational skills and an ability to prioritize effectively to deliver results within reasonably established timelines.Ability to represent our client well: strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication.Entrepreneurial mindset, with a tolerance for ambiguity, and a passion for helping cancer patients.Preferred Skills:MBA with 6 years+ of progressive experience in data analytics and strategic analysis.Targeted oncology product experience.Experience with test control and AB testing preferred.The base salary range for this full-time position is $210,000 to $253,000 for candidates based out of company headquarters in California. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the minimum and maximum salary for the position and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
