Nursing Assistant

Job Description:

Receive daily assignments and review each resident's Nursing Care PlanPerform basic nursing services to assist the residents to regain, attain, or maintain an optimal level of functioning including feeding, bathing, dressing and grooming, toileting, positioning, transferring and ambulating, communicating and socializingPerform all duties in accordance with departmental standards, policies and procedures and governmental rules and regulationsReport pertinent information in a timely manner to the charge nurseComplete all charting and record keeping requirementsMaintain confidentiality of resident informationAssure that the resident's physical environment is maintained in a clean, orderly, safe and comfortable manner and that supplies are cleaned and properly stored at all timesMake and clean beds and perform other housekeeping duties that relate to resident careAttend and participate in staff meetings, in-service educational programs and on-the-job training as directed/scheduledPerform restorative and rehabilitative procedures to maximize the potential abilities of each resident

Position Requirements:

Must have sincere desire to work with the elderly and those with limited capacity for self careMust be able to work a flexible schedule including working weekends and holidays and variable shifts
