We are at a new frontier with climate change—the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act signals a profound shift in climate policy, with financial incentive (and benefits) at its core. This brings a vast network of legislation, processes, businesses and people into the fray, simultaneously creating incredible opportunities as well as challenges. If you're prepared to tackle these challenges, energized to get into the weeds of renewable energy tax credits, and work to build long-lasting, novel solutions, we believe you'll be an excellent match.Your role:As the second hire on Evergrow’s design team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our software products and solving for the needs of our customers in this complex space. Reporting to our Director of Product & Design, you will work with the Evergrow team to understand, define and empathize with the needs of people who buy and sell clean energy tax credits, including: solar power project developers, asset owners and capital providers. You will be working on end-to-end designs for a B2B product suite which enables and accelerates clean energy infrastructure development.You bring a track record of shipping high quality designs, preferably within finance, climate or other complex software systems. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and are passionate about designing mission-driven products and services, this role is for you. You will be responsible for:Owning design work from product concept to wireframes to final detailed designWorking closely with multiple stakeholders, including members of our engineering, policy and business development teamsAssisting in conducting user research and incorporating user feedback into Evergrow products & processesContributing to Evergrow’s external brand by designing key customer artifacts, such as clean energy project reportsContinuously building your knowledge of decarbonization infrastructure and technologies, to become an expert on the needs and challenges of our stakeholdersHelping to grow a strong design practice at EvergrowThis might be for you if you have:
3-5+ years of industry experience in UX / UI design, in high-growth / high-impact sectorsA portfolio demonstrating your thought process and workA strong command of UX principles, user-centered practices and current design patterns. Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.Skilled at visual design and experience working within a brand systemDeep experience with Figma.
