As a Medical Office Administrator, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of a healthcare facility, ensuring efficient administrative processes while providing excellent service to patients and staff. Your role will be essential in maintaining the smooth functioning of the office and supporting healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the administrative functions of the medical office, including scheduling, patient registration, and medical record management.Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, maintaining confidentiality and security of patient information.Coordinate patient appointments, managing the scheduling system to optimize workflow and minimize wait times.Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and concerns while providing exceptional customer service.Manage billing and insurance processes, including verifying patient insurance coverage and processing claims.Supervise administrative staff, providing training, support, and performance evaluations to foster a productive work environment.Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.Maintain office supplies and equipment, managing inventory and vendor relationships as neededRequirements
Associate's degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting, with at least two years in an administrative role.Strong knowledge of medical terminology, billing procedures, and healthcare regulations.Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and office software.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to providing compassionate patient care.
