What It's LikeWe are looking for a highly motivated Master's or Ph.D. level intern to join our Learning & Development (L&D) team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in designing innovative learning solutions, driving learner engagement, and contributing to learning strategies that integrate AI technologies for 70,000+ employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in learning design principles and be passionate about using AI to enhance personalized learning experiences and support learning in the flow of work.
You will work closely with our L&D team, contributing to impactful projects that influence the learning culture within the organization.
What You'll DoAs a Learning & Development Innovation Intern, the intern will be deeply involved in various aspects of the learning design, engagement, and AI integration processes.•Assist in designing innovative learning programs that address specific organizational needs. Develop engaging, learner-centric experiences across different formats such as eLearning, microlearning, and blended learning.•Explore and implement AI-driven learning tools that personalize learning experiences. This could involve setting up AI assistant for learner support, configuring adaptive learning platforms that recommend tailored content, and leveraging AI to optimize learning delivery.•Help identify opportunities where AI can streamline or enhance the learning experience, supporting just-in-time learning and improving learning outcomes.•Design strategies to boost learner engagement though the use of gamification techniques, interactive learning elements, and social learning platforms to create highly engaging learning experiences.•Assist in gathering insights into learner behavior, program completion rates, and engagement metrics, using this data to make recommendations for improvements to the learning experience.

Key Responsibilities
Learning Design Support:
Assist in the design and development of engaging and interactive learning programs across various formats (eLearning, microlearning, virtual instructor-led training) that meet the needs of our diverse workforce.Learning Strategy Contribution:
Collaborate with senior L&D team members to create and implement learning strategies that integrate into employees' day-to-day tasks and workflows, promoting a culture of continuous learning.Powered Learning Solutions:
Explore and implement AI-driven solutions to personalize learning experiences, automate learning processes, and improve learning engagement. Work with AI tools that recommend content, track learner progress, and adapt learning paths based on individual needs.Engagement and Adoption Initiatives:
Support the creation of strategies to drive learner engagement using gamification, social learning, and other interactive techniques to enhance participation and retention in learning programs.Data-Driven Learning Insights:
Assist in gathering and analyzing data from learning platforms to measure the effectiveness of learning programs, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.Learning in the Flow of Work:
Contribute to the design and implementation of learning solutions that integrate seamlessly into daily workflows, enabling employees to access relevant learning content just in time.Collaborative Projects:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, and business units, to align learning initiatives with organizational goals. Participate in discussions and brainstorming sessions to drive innovation in L&D.What It Takes
Education: Currently enrolled in a 1st Year Master's Program, or Ph.D programCertified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) or Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) from the Association for Talent Development (ATD) (preferred but not required).Strong skills in Instructional designUnderstanding of Cognitive Science or Educational Psychology conceptsUnderstanding of AI powered learning tools including AI AssistantSolid problem-solving abilities.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.High attention to detail and accuracyData and Analytical skillsMinimum Qualifications
At least 18 years of ageLegally authorized to work in the United StatesMust have graduated within the last 12-months, OR be actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Graduate degree programEmployees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for Internships

Relocation assistance may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location.
Intern wages range from $20/hour to $40/hour. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on experience/location.
