Our client is actively a IT Support Analyst to join their team out of their location in Roxana, Illinois! This individual will be in direct computing support for the WRR area including radio programming, mobile device support, and computer refresh. This individual will have a background in Information Technology, preferred if in a refining setting but open to all other candidates!
Description:End user computing support for the WRR area including radio programming, mobile device support, and computer refresh.
Basic/Required:Legally authorized to work in the job posting countryHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentProven ability and willingness to provide day-to-day and after-hours support (24x7) as appropriateAbility to safely operate a motor vehicle in the refinery around process equipment3 or more years of direct experience in troubleshooting Infrastructure SystemsCompliance with refinery safety requirements including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment when necessaryAble to lift computer equipment that weighs up to 30 lbs. from the floor and safely carry up 4 flights of stairsAble to bend, stoop, or crawl under furniture to connect wiringAble to bend to pick up equipment and load pull cartAble to lift an individual item weighing up to 30 lbs.Able to push/pull equipment on a cart of up to 100 lbs.Able to climb 4 or more flights of stairs to access field hardwareWilling and able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC). Preferred:Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science or equivalentStrong leadership skills4 or more years of experience in Information Technology discipline2 or more years of experience supporting Refining or Midstream IT assetsPrevious experience installing and troubleshooting data center infrastructureAbility to engender trust and confidenceActive learner with good business knowledgeAbility to demonstrate a high level of initiative and results driven effortAbility to manage and perform multiple tasks concurrentlyProven verbal and written communication skills for direct customer interactionProven ability to master and apply advanced and specialized technical trainingProven ability to work well with business, and local and remote IT resource
Ł Troubleshooting and mitigating End User Computing issues.Ł Building and maintaining relationships with technical partners in the business (e.g. Refining Process Control Analysts, Midstream I&E Technician).Ł Coordinating resources and suppliers to complete projects and work requests.Ł Collaborating with central infrastructure support to plan and execute network hardware refresh.Ł Optimizing IT service delivery by improving reliability, efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness of defined components of services while following corporate standards and safety practices, and especially in discovering and propagating best practices.Ł Maintaining documentation of supported systems.Ł Provide desk side support for personal computing environments.
