Cloud Network Architect

Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Network Architect with a robust background in both cloud and on-premises networking. The ideal candidate will possess significant expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, Azure and have a proven track record of designing and implementing hybrid network solutions. This role requires more than 10 years of experience in the field, with a strong emphasis on hybrid network environments as well as hands on experience.

Key Responsibilities:Design, implement, and manage complex network architectures that integrate both cloud-based and on-premises systems.Develop and maintain network infrastructure strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives.Configure and manage Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), VPNs, firewalls, subnets, load balancers and other network services within GCP/AWS/Azure.Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure that all components meet the business's SLAs and compliance requirements.Work with security teams to implement and maintain network security policies and procedures.Provide expertise in network optimization and cost management.Automate network deployments and configurations using tools like Terraform.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and architects, to deliver cloud-based solutions.Document network architecture and operational procedures and standards.Stay updated with new technologies and best practices in cloud networking.Provide expert guidance on network security, performance optimization, and scalability.Desired Experience and Skills:10+ years network architecture experience with at least 5 years working in a hybrid network environment.Deep understanding of GCP services such as Google VPC, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud CDN, and Cloud Interconnect.Knowledgeable in communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), as well as network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools.Deep understanding of Palo Altos, F5, Google Cloud Armor.Proficient in network security principles and tools specific to cloud-based infrastructure.Experience with automation and scripting languages (e.g., Terraform, Python, Bash).Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Understanding and experience designing and implementing zero trust architecture principles.Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.Knowledge of automation and orchestration tools.Education / Certifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience.Professional certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, or equivalent.Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this role is $148,000-$222,200 and is based on experience and qualifications.

Certain roles are eligible for annual bonus and may include equity. These awards are allocated based on company and individual performance.
