Our Washington, D.C. team is seeking an accomplished Technical Business Analyst to join our team in supporting multiple software products and brands across the organization, such as www.Costar.com. You will have a direct impact on highly visible web applications that touch millions of users. You will continuously learn emerging technologies and architecture advancements and apply these tools to improve our software products.
This position is located in Washington, D.C. and offers a schedule of 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.
Responsibilities
Understanding the CoStar business, the goals of our products, and how we fit into the commercial real estate industry
Articulating the product team’s vision to the development team, effectively translating it into artifacts such as User Stories, and turning extremely complex business rules into succinct, clear specifications and acceptance criteria
Maintaining direct channels of communication with software developers, management, and Product Design to accomplish team goals
Holding regular stakeholder/grooming meetings to keep all interested parties updated in project progress
Documenting user requirements and business rules to be used in application development
Understanding End-To-End test cases at the application and multi-application levels
Working directly with QA Staff to ensure comprehensive testing for all areas and provide input as to how to test new features
Responding to issues that are raised by internal and external groups
Analyzing application and usage data to understand our products and our customers
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not for profit university or college
A track record of commitment to prior employers
Minimum of 2+ years of Product, Systems, or Business analysis experience
This role is highly self-directed and requires driving outcomes with very little supervision.
Documenting detailed product requirements for multiple development teams
Documenting requirements for API work a plus
Agile/Scrum experience is required
Preferred Qualifications And Skills
Basic SQL database knowledge
2+ years of Product Owner experience
Advanced Excel knowledge
Experience with process/architecture diagram tools like Visio
Experience with Agile Development process
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

This position offers a base salary range of $78,000 - $130,000 based on relevant skills and experience and includes a generous benefits plan.
