IT Software Development Specialist Sr Position Title: IT Systems Administrator Location: Remote Anticipated Start Date: ASAP Expected Duration: 12 Month. Job Type: FULL TIME 40 hours a week, CONTRACT, Remote Pay Rate: $50/hr on W2 Primary Purpose: To develop, maintain, test, and debug software that meets defined requirements within a Windows client/server environment. This includes utilizing software development languages/environments such as PL/SQL, Oracle, .Net, Microsoft SQL, and others. The role involves defining system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Familiarize yourself with various aspects of the application, including reports, parameters, claims management, and interfaces. Analyze user needs and assist in designing specifications to meet end-user requirements. Develop and modify software in accordance with specifications outlined in data processing requests. Maintain software that meets the requirements of insurance carriers and regulatory groups. Test and debug assigned projects, and assist in testing projects for other programming staff. Prepare documentation for new or existing software. Investigate escalated calls from support staff, making necessary corrections to data and/or software. Contribute to the professional growth of programming team members. Follow established departmental standards and guidelines for design and development. Uphold the goal of delivering and maintaining the highest quality of customer service to clients. Stay current with software development language revisions and technological advances. Additional Functions and Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned. Support the organization's quality programs. Qualifications: Education & Licensing: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required, with a preference for majors in Information Systems or Computer Science. Experience: Six (6) years of language development experience in a relevant and applicable programming language and/or business analytical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven experience in interpreting user requirements, designing business applications, and developing business applications is strongly preferred. Skills & Knowledge: Strong knowledge of language development and applications design. Excellent analytical and interpretive skills. Strong organizational abilities. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Capacity to meet or exceed performance competencies.
