POSITION SUMMARY
Provide support to the Kitting area through the movement of material from one area to another.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInspect all forklifts at beginning of shift and complete necessary check lists, maintain file for future reference or inspections.Stage and remove materials for Kitting operators at beginning of shift and throughout shift as needed.Assist Kitting operators as needed to meet rush shipment deadlinesInspect plastic and wooden pallets. Dispose of/repair pallets as necessaryTransport finished materials from finishing area and stage for packing area.Ensure proper signoff on lot summary cards prior to transport of finished materials
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLSHigh School diploma or GED equivalent requiredAbility to operate all forklifts and tuggers in a safe and responsible manner.Knowledge of DOT regulations and how to complete bills of lading6+ months of manufacturing experienceStrict adherence to 5S conceptThe ability to work overtime as scheduled
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work environment involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions (e.g., working around moving machines in production facilities) and protective clothing or gear such as safety glasses, gloves and safety shoes is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSWork requires some physical strain such as standing and walking in production facility, and lifting of moderately heavy items weighing up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
