Summary of Job Duties : The Medicaid Specialist is the liaison for the Medicaid application process. This person is esponsible for tracking and analyzing completed Medicaid Applications and all supporting documentation. The Medicaid Specialist will be the applicants primary contact person between multiple County Assistance Offices for all Medicaid related communications; this will include but not be limited to application completion, pending letter follow up, and appeal submissions. The Medicaid Specialist will also communicate directly with the applicant and family.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
Location:
This position will cover our Pittsburgh area locations, including: Wilkinsburg, Homestead, McKeesport, Mon Valley, Tarentum and Lower Burrell. The candidate selected for this position can work out of any of these offices. Local travel will be required throughout these areas with mileage reimbursed at the federal rate.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent, bachelors degree in human services field highly preferred.Required Experience:
2 years prior experience with Medicaid Applications and County Assistance coordination.Required Certifications/Licensing:
