Day Shift: 6:00am - 3:30pm

Starting Pay: $18.30/hour to start

Assembler at Ditch Witch:

This employee performs mechanical work building machinery using?various hand and power tools (wrenches, hammers, impact tools, etc.). This?includes?working with mechanical, hydraulic, fuel, and electrical systems on machinery. The employee also performs other duties as assigned.

What Will You Do?

Read information from blueprints, drawings, production records, written instructions, technical documents, etc.Fit, position, and fasten components to build machinery or sub-assemblies of machinery using vises, clamps, wrenches, air-powered tools, pliers, etc.Handle components and completed pieces of equipment.??This includes operating?equipment to move it and check its functions by?using steering wheels, control levers, knobs, buttons, etc. while observing and evaluating equipment functions.Use a computer to check the location, inventory, and routing of parts.Record information electronically.What Will You Need?

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.Assembler I: 0-18 months of directly related experience required, including mechanical assembly or repair experience.Assembler II: 18-36 months of directly related experience required, including mechanical assembly or repair experience.Have appropriate basic mechanical skills and aptitude, including using mechanic's tools such as wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, etc. This should be indicated by past performance of mechanical repair, maintenance, or assembly work.Demonstrate appropriate reading, clerical, and basic math skills, including the ability to understand written instructions, maintain production records, and perform routine calculations.Professional mechanical assembly or repair experience would be a plus.Work Environment:

Manufacturing plant conditions (indoors,?with?variable temperature,?humidity, noise, and dirt).Physical hazards such as powered vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic, sharp objects, moving machinery, compressed air power supplies, and materials handling.Working with hazardous materials, including solvents, oils, grease, paint, and fuels.A variable work schedule (ranging from 8-12 hours daily depending on production needs, with overtime paid after 40 hours per week) and some scheduled work on Saturdays.An expectation to work at least 50% of the Extra Time (ET).Essential Physical Function:

The physical demands for this job are classified as medium and include the following:
