Description
EMIT Technologies, Inc. is seeking a motivated Material Handler to join our team. You will be responsible for the receiving, storing, and distributing of materials, supplies, and equipment. This role requires the ability to lift heavy loads, operate material handling equipment, and maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution.Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.Documents materials and records units delivered and location of units.Receives credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supply codes, lot numbers, and quantities.Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signals machineRequirements:
Operate forklift, and combi lifts safely and efficiently, telehandler a plusAble to complete tasks without constant directionAbility to multitask, plan ahead, and manage time to stay organizedExperience with handling long, heavy material in small areasOverhead crane experience is a plus but not requiredMinimum of 1 years forklift or similar experienceHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to lift up to 50lbs individually or 100lbs team liftStrong attention to detail and accuracy
