Our leadership team is devoted to building a diverse, inclusive, and values-driven workforce.A Day in the Life:As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional Speech Therapy services to children at our Kosair Kids Complex Care Center. Your expertise will help our residents overcome communication, articulation, language, and swallowing challenges, fostering their growth and development.Available Shifts:• PRN/ReliefSpeech Language Pathologist Key Responsibilities:• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders.• Deliver effective pediatric speech therapy treatments tailored to our residents' unique needs, including articulation therapy, language intervention, and feeding and swallowing therapy.• Maintain precise daily documentation of services, including billing and essential records.• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and interdisciplinary teams to keep everyone informed of residents' progress and changes in their functional levels.• Adhere to all long-term care facility regulations, including infection control procedures..What You Bring:• A Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology.• Expertise in pediatric Speech Therapy, especially with tracheostomies, ventilators, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and feeding/swallowing disorders.• Basic computer proficiency.• Exceptional communication skills in English, with a commitment to treating staff, families, and residents with dignity and respect.• A high level of integrity and a passion for providing excellent customer service.• Board certification with Certificate of Clinical Competency and current Kentucky licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.• At least one year of pediatric experience, preferably with feeding, AAC, and working with children with multiple disabilities.What You’ll Receive as a Valued Member of HOTI:• Comprehensive training and certification opportunities, including workshops in pediatric speech therapy techniques.• Continued education programs to enhance your skills.• Eligibility for student loan forgiveness through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program.*• The satisfaction of working in a Sanctuary Certified Organization, focused on creating a safe and supportive environment for all.If you’re ready to make a difference in the lives of children and families in our community, we invite you to apply today!
