Reference : 4705677 THE POSITION The person occupying this role is responsible for executing a range of technical analysis tasks aimed at maintaining the reliability of the Driver Licensing and Control (DL&C) system, the Commonwealth Automated Registration and Titling system (CARATS), and their associated subsystems. Their work is crucial in ensuring that these systems operate effectively to fulfill operational requirements. Collaborating closely with IT programming teams and business personnel, this individual plays a key role in implementing system modifications as requested by the management team of Driver and Vehicle Services. Do not miss the opportunity to apply today DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will engage in moderately complex analytical tasks that pertain to the development, modification, and functionality of driver licensing and motor vehicle systems. Your responsibilities will include documenting necessary process changes to enhance business operations, which involves leading business meetings, drafting specification documents, and identifying essential business requirements. You will also create testing plans and scripts related to system improvements, new initiatives, or defect resolutions to ensure that business objectives are met and that systems operate effectively. Participation in the planning, execution, and assessment of testing activities is crucial, as is the analysis of testing results, where you will prepare reports that highlight any discrepancies or deviations from expected outcomes. Effective communication, both verbal and written, with external management personnel within BSM and BIO, contractors, and various internal business processing areas is essential. This includes collaboration with external business partners, product vendors, and law enforcement agencies as assigned. You will investigate user-reported system issues through on-site analysis of unusual processing conditions, identifying opportunities for improved business processes or workarounds to facilitate operational functions. Documenting these issues and any new requirements in tracking systems, providing necessary updates, and ensuring entries are monitored until resolution is part of your duties. Additionally, you will collaborate with business areas and contracted vendors to ensure timely implementation of requested enhancements, guide the user community in developing workflows and procedures to support program and system changes, and participate in the scoping of application updates and upgrades. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. This position also performs off hours support and reporting as required. Must be able to work off-hours, including some weekends, for release support and issue resolutions. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
