The Role
The Shipping Clerk ensures all shipping documents and functions are completed accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Ensure all shipping documents and functions are completed accurately and on time.Assess warehouse inventory and advise repair schedule of parts needed.Assess field technician inventories and restock parts as needed.Prepare bills of laden for outbound and shipments.Check that orders are complete and the proper labels and paperwork have been applied.Verify and record outbound shipments; and distribute or scan documents to the appropriate department(s).Maintain good workplace safety and security processes and procedures.Maintain department files, routine correspondence with small parcel and LTL freight carriers.May be assigned to assist with physical inventories.Advise management when to reorder shipping supplies.Perform general warehouse duties, assembly and/or order- filler duties.Performs other related duties as assigned.Qualifications
High School diploma or GED.Experience with warehouse functions is preferred.Ability to lift and or move up to 50 pounds.Ability to understand and to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Physical Demands and Work Environment
