Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Director of American Family Advertising and Media will deliver and execute a powerful advertising and media strategy that will build and enhance the American Family Insurance brand. We are looking for a seasoned marketing professional with strong experience in agency management, including social media, to deliver integrated campaigns with excellence.This Director will need to both think and plan strategically, activate and execute effectively, and have experience with cultural trends coupled with an elevated taste to identify the right opportunities for American Family Insurance.Position Compensation Range:
$125,000.00 - $212,000.00Pay Rate Type:

Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.Primary Accountabilities:Lead the Brand Advertising and Media teams, overseeing their performance and growth. Define team goals and best practices, manage workflows, and ensure resource planning. Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.Lead top-tier creative and media agencies and manage brand activation programs with budgets exceeding $100M.Serve as the primary contact for advertising and media teams and important partners on marketing and advertising programs and campaigns. Collaborate with partners to understand and align on project objectives, needs, and expectations.Develop long-term relationships across marketing agency teams and partners. Provide strategic counsel to enhance a project's value and impact through creative strategy.Lead the creative and media briefing process, building cohesive brand plans.Collaborate with Integrated Agency Team leads in the development of creative strategies, guiding project teams, and ensuring successful execution of all creative outputs.Provide oversight regarding the quality and consistency of all creative deliverables, offering strategic feedback to ensure excellence.Manage the advertising agency for creative idea development and production, ensuring the delivery of creative assets for broad-based video, social strategy, and content planning.Assist in overseeing annual plans and budgets, foster a positive team culture, ensure cross-team collaboration, and guide the team's overall direction.Lead the media agency to reach the right audience through various digital and traditional media channels.Maintain overall control of media plans, ensuring important dates are met and campaigns are delivered on time.Manage the media agency to produce meaningful post-campaign analysis and improve the value of advertising through testing, targeting, and refining plans.Review media agency performance and set indicators to ensure achievement of targets while maintaining a positive return on investment.Brief the media agency, executing the creation of impactful marketing assets and innovative campaigns to achieve profitable growth.Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements:Noteworthy track record of effective team management.Experience in providing customer-driven solutions and service.Expertise in developing, executing, and monitoring brand strategies.Significant experience in marketing, advertising, or a related field.Proficiency in using marketing concepts, strategies, practices, and tools.Experience with counseling, consulting, and negotiating across all levels of management.Solid knowledge of project management methodologies, practices, techniques, and tools.Consistent record of delivering on commitments.Proven creative thought partner.In-depth understanding of current products and future concepts.Trend forecasting experience.Travel Requirements:

Work that primarily involves sitting/standing.In this primarily office-based role, you will spend at least 80% of your time working from our National Headquarters in Madison, WI 53783.
