The Job/What You’ll Do:As the Director of Trading Product Management, you will lead a team of Product Owners dedicated to defining and developing innovative trading solutions. These solutions aim to streamline portfolio construction and management, as well as other technologies that deliver scale and high-quality investment outcomes. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong background in product management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across various departments to ensure the successful delivery of products that meet customer needs and drive business growth.We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our Concord, CA office.Responsibilities:Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Investment Product Strategy, Marketing, and other departments to lead and deliver initiatives for wealth advisory trading tools and technology.Create innovative features designed to address fundamental needs in the trading, portfolio construction, and investment management space.Enhance product development processes to build efficient teams and maintain high team morale.Establish and communicate the long-term vision for the team, and develop a roadmap to achieve it.Focus on building a framework to continuously deliver additional value and iterate based on feedback.Provide industry and business expertise to help form the vision and roadmap for best-in-class trading, portfolio construction, and portfolio optimization capabilities, including completing competitive analysis and benchmarking.Ensure an optimal, seamless, integrated end-to-end experience by partnering with internal and external stakeholders.Proactively solve problems and maintain strategic thinking.Maintain strong time and resource management across the team.Creatively solve problems and create clarity from ambiguity to ensure product and feature success metrics are achieved.Establish a single source of truth and remove or escalate roadblocks to help the team work through the product development process.Ensure the user experience delivers the intended value and aligns with business and stakeholder objectives.Continually achieve strong results against objectives and proactively take initiative and iterate as needed.Align to and champion user story methodologies that drive speed and quality in the software development life-cycle.Leadership/Collaboration:Lead and mentor a team of product managers, fostering their professional growth on a daily basis.Foster strong, collaborative relationships across design, engineering, and operations at both team and organizational levels.Act as a hands-on leader (player/coach) who leverages data, research, design, technology, and business understanding to prioritize requirements and deliver business results while effectively managing and escalating risks.Present concisely and thoughtfully to peers and senior leadership, while facilitating conversations that drive to clarity.Set specific and measurable objectives, develop key metrics, and contribute to management reports to track success towards goals.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:Proven Product Owner experience and success with large projects.Domain knowledge and experience developing a variety of wealth management, trading, and portfolio construction tools.Strong process engineering and reengineering mindset.Experience automating workflows for financial advisor and investor clients.Fluent in user-centered design thinking principles and techniques.Well-versed in modern software development approaches.Experience aligning with cross-functional agile teams and business line stakeholders, user experience, technology, operations, risk management, legal/compliance, and other key partners.Strong communication skills to deliver presentations to executive stakeholders. Highly skilled communicator, both written and oral, able to communicate at many levels of the organization, clearly and impactfully sharing thoughts, ideas, and concerns.Successfully manage a team of Product Owners, Business Analysts, or Product Analysts and/or vendor scrum teams.Strong direct or indirect leadership of a scrum team; strong indirect cross-functional leadership.Experience with Agile methodologies to prioritize and manage product delivery. Proficient with JIRA and Confluence.Experience in large trading technology implementations or conversions.Education & Experience:10+-years experience in field required, preferably at least 7 in financial services.3-7 years management level experience needed, including both direct and indirect.Bachelors Degree required or equivalent work experience.Compensation:

The Base Salary range for this position is between $155,000-$170,000.This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered.
